Judge Michael Davis is a county judge in Broward County that has the challenge of running for retention in 2018, a banner Democratic year, while being appointed by a Republican Governor. A newcomer to the bench and local politics, a seasoned veteran challenged him on his first retention vote, leaving him with less name recognition and money despite his incumbency.
With a carefully targeted digital campaign focused on Facebook, Judge Michael Davis was able to get a few key endorsements in front of virtually all primary voters in that race. Despite conventional wisdom around “super voters” and “low midterm turnout,” he competed in a primary race that looked like a Presidential Race.
By getting his endorsements and community service in front of the voters, Judge Michael Davis was easily retained and is able to continue to serve the people of Broward County.
